In honor of the 800th anniversary of the Transitus (passing) of St. Francis (1226–2026), these five retreat sessions for Lent focus on the final years of his life, his preparation for death, and his transition from earthly life to God. These sessions draw from Franciscan tradition to frame Lent as a time of inner transformation and “passing over” from sin to grace. The Transitus is not a time of mourning, but of joy, celebrating a life well-lived. We will explore these 5 themes:
Reviewing the Journey, Embracing the Cross, Letting Go, Naked on the Ground, Passing from Light to Light.
Feb. 21, March 7, 14, 21, 28
Facilitated by Br. Joseph Bach, OFM Conv.
A $20 donation is suggested, $100 for the entire series.
