Retreat Director

Fr. Tom Smith OFM Conv is a Franciscan and has been the director of Holy Cross Retreat Center since 2010. He has experience in parish ministry, outreach to Spanish speaking immigrants, and retreat ministry. He also plays guitar and enjoys gardening.

Debbie Isham

Business Manager

Debbie Isham worked with the Diocese of Las Cruces in various capacities until joining the staff of Holy Cross in 2014 as the business manager and in human resources. She brings a personal interest in all aspects of our presence and encourages both Franciscan hospitality and social justice concerns.

Margaret Flores

Program Coordinator

Margaret Flores became the program coordinator in 2017 after working in finances with the Diocese and parishes in the area. She is very adept at scheduling groups and individuals who come to the Center. She is also the primary contact for registering for the art festival, and can assist as needed.

Rev. Henry Atkins

Eco-theologian in Residence

Rev. Henry Atkins is an Episcopal priest and Eco-theologian in Residence at Holy Cross Retreat Center. He brings a wide background in theology, social justice, and especially a desire to implement the goals of the encyclical Laudato Si!.

Fr. Camillus Gott OFM Conv.

Volunteer confessor and retreat leader

Fr. Camillus Gott OFM Conv is a Franciscan with experience as a teacher, formation director, and chaplain in the army. At 90 years of age he still wants to contribute as a confessor and sharing his wisdom and wit during retreats!

Deacon Bob Angelich

Adjunct teacher and leader

Deacon Bob retired after many years of professional life and has offered his services and experience especially in areas of ministry to the divorced and leading Scripture study, as well as other areas.
