Come to the Desert with Fr. Tom Smith, OFM Conv.

John the Baptist and Jesus both went to the desert to pray. Since the earliest years of Christianity people were drawn into the desert to encounter the presence of God. The Desert Fathers and Mothers went into Egypt to develop their prayer. We live in the Chihuahua Desert. We know the heat and the dryness. Do we appreciate its richness? the unique spirituality of the desert?

“Come to the Desert” is an invitation to experience the depth and beauty of the desert experience. There will be time to literally go into the desert, where we can let God speak to our hearts.
