The retreat center has 46 retreat rooms each with private bath, and four additional rooms served by two bathrooms. All linens are provided. Wi fi is available throughout the retreat center, but there are no phones or televisions in the rooms.
They are individually air-conditioned and heated.

Thirty-four rooms have three twin beds, eight have one queen size or double bed, and four rooms have a double and a twin bed. 
One room has a ramp and walk in shower for those with physical limitations. 
There are also four rooms in "La Casita," a separate section with its own kitchen, living room, and small courtyard.  Three of the bedrooms have a double bed, and one has two twin beds. There are two bathrooms and three showers. 
Therefore we have 122 beds available,

Our dining room can accommodate up to 102, plus we have a second dining room that can seat 24 people. Meals are served buffet style with a variety of home cooked foods, traditional mexican foods as well as our own baked goods. Meal times are at 8:00 a.m., 12:00 noon and 6:00 p.m.


The Conference rooms have the capacity for projection from a computer and showing films, and internet access in meeting areas and the individual rooms.
Our facilities include a large conference room with a capacity of 100 persons, and three smaller meeting rooms for 40 - 50 persons each. Other areas available include the library, the living room, an inner garden patio called the atrium, and ample outdoor seating in the shade.  


Holy Cross Retreat has confessions at 6:00pm and mass at 6:30 each Wednesday evening in the new Chapel, but not from June 13-July 28th.


June 11 & 12  Engaged Encounter for those preparing for marriage in the Catholic Church.  This is an enriching experience and well worth the time.  To register, go to

June 13-July 28  Fr. Tom Smith OFM Conv. will be helping lead a pilgrimage to Rome, Assisi, Florience, and Venice.  (If you are interested contact him.)  He will then have a month in Italy to immerse in the Franciscan spirit by visiting various sites and studying about the Franciscan charism.

Each Tuesday from June 2st till August 2nd, the Las Cruces Diocese will have a session at HCRC for adult formation, 6:00 - 8:30pm.  Check the home page here for details, or call 524 3688.

Care to join in with a "Pilgrimage to the Early Franciscan Missions of New Mexico"?  Fr. Tom Smith OFM Conv. is leading a group Aug. 15-19, 2016. We leave Monday about 8:00, car sharing, and drive to Santa Fe where we stay for two nights and visits missions in that area.  Then we go to Albuquerque for two days and nights.  We may stay in a hotel in Santa Fe, and a retreat center in Albuquerque.  Local contacts give interesting background on each of about 12 or 13 missions we will visit.  Each person is responsbile for overnight stay, food, share in the gas, and a couple entry fees.  We return Friday later afternoon.  Call the office to register.

The Franciscan Festival of Fine Arts will be Sept. 3rd 9:00 till 5:00, and Sept. 4th 10:00 till 4:00pm on Labor Day weekend.  There will be over 80 artists, six or more food vendors, two live music stages, Enchilada Dinner, Silent Auction, and and Beer and Wine Garden.  Donation for admission.  Put it on your calendar and plan to join us!
